Happy New Year 2011

We had once waited for 2010,
Now we are waiting for 2011 again...
A day still will come when,
We will be bidding farewell to 2011,

My dear friends, have you ever,
Recalled what you have done,
In the past whole year,
Have you done good to one...

Or we simply take resolutions and
Work on them for a day or few,
Then,just forget everything and
Move on with all the new..

No, don't believe ever on resolutions,
You can keep them never...
If you don't do something today,
You will not do it ever...

So, just start it from today itself
Do all that your heart permits you,
Listen to the voice of your soul,
And don't do all that it denies to,

Live life as today is the last day,
Do something new everyday,
Enjoy all that you do and,
Don't ever forget to pray.....

Help people as much as you can,
Forget every incident that hurt you,
Don't speak ill of anyone,
And thank people for everything they do...

Love people just like a mother would,
Keep your heart pure like a child,
And above all, keep smiling every second,

I was just a little kid then

Fun in class.....

During my graduation, once, during our classes.... a guy in our class got a phone call. He asked permission from our teacher and hastily started going out... Before he could get out of the class, the teacher asked, "Is it XX or XY?" all of us were surprised and could not understand what the teacher was saying..... But, soon we burst out laughing immediately.

                          Actually, it was a genetics class, and according to genetics, the genes which differentiate between a male and female is the two sex chromosomes or allosomes. The female has XX chromosome and the male carries the XY chromosome. Our teacher was asking in that context whether the phone call was from a male or a female....? :))))) Interesting class it was and I just remembered it now and so, wanted to share with you people so that you can also smile at the teaching style of our teachers.....

Another day in my class.....

In our college, we have a very sweet Ma'am. She is very interesting and scolds students in an innovative way.....

                Our classes start at 8 in the morning and in winter, it is very difficult to reach in time due to Miss Sleep.... The first class is always taken by that Ma'am. One day, a boy reached classes after 40 minutes of class being over. When, he knocked the door, Ma'am stood on his way with an arm on her hip and interrogated him with fake anger. When he was asked the reason of being late, he said that he had reached earlier but was standing outside the door. Out came a prompt reply from Ma'am, "Why? Is your girlfriend standing outside?" all of us started laughing. He was taken aback.... Then again, Ma'am said, "Or....Do you hate me?"..... The boy felt so embarrassed that he has never got late again till today.... If he comes late again, I will make him read this blog, so that he feels embarrassed in a new way....  :)))
